This is an open invitation to all youth to take part in Vichar Kranti Abhiyan (literally meaning ‘Thought Revolution Movement’). This is a clarion call for all those youngsters who want to achieve something worthwhile and substantial in their life; and who are in search of high ideal that will help them reach higher levels in individual growth through sadhana, while selflessly working for universal well-being. Vichar Kranti Abhiyan is a blend of expressing creative potential and courageous struggle. There are three stages of this movement, namely – personality development, family development, and social development. One can cultivate traits like creativity, perseverance, courage, compassion, loving kindness, etc during these three phases. The program demands effective execution than prolonged discussions. It is a precious opportunity for all those who have the zeal to achieve something laudable in life. It will be good if the youth do not let go of this opportunity from their hands.

The preceptor of Vichar Kranti Abhiyan, sage-seer Revered Gurudev Pandit Sriram Sharma Acharya, had complete faith on youth. He used to tell time and again: “The word Youth is not an ordinary word, but an immensely powerful and potent seed-mantra, which when it bursts open can turn the world topsy-turvy. Transformation is synonymous with ‘youth’. That is the reason why the success of any movement or revolution targeted to bring a transformation is directly related to the extent of participation of the youth. Now, when it is the challenge of transforming the era, the active participation of youth is of cardinal importance”. This is the reason why during the initial days of launching Vichar Kranti Abhiyan, Gurudev used to motivate youngsters through letters and discourses to join him in this program.

If we take a look at the history of Vichar Kranti Abhiyan, we can clearly see that youth have been joining this movement in large numbers. If you go through the pages of lives of the present office-holders of this Mission, we find that they have all been associated with it from the time they were 20-35 years of age. This is the same situation with the Chief Editor of this magazine also. He too had been touched by the ideology of Gurudev during his teens and by the time he attained youth-hood, that ideology had so transformed his inner-self that he became one with Gurudev for his entire life. Of course, he later realized that he had been a co-traveller with Gurudev for the past many lives. It is possible that many of you have had similar experiences, but one thing that clearly stands out is that the personality of Yug Rishi Gurudev has been like a powerful magnet that has attracted many youth into his fold.
