Female Foeticide Rally

So as part of our movement for Female Foeticide, GPYG_Vadodara has shown a multimedia presentation and CD showing the live case of Abortion to our Gayatri Pariwar Mahila Wing. It is prepared by Dr. Vinubhai Patel – Present President of Swasthya Seva Trust and Ex. Joint Director for Health and Family Welfare – Govt. of Gujarat. They have also released one book dedicated for Female Foeticide. They have appreciated our movement and our interest in Female Foeticide Project and shown their gratitude to help and guide us for such project.

On seeing the above CD and Presentation – the eyes of everyone were filled with tears. The tears turned into determination to fight against such evil. They guided us that we should go for an awareness rally before Navratri, so that it would have a great impact on Navaratri Celebration. In Vadodara the Navaratri has taken a shape of Youth Festival and youth do garba as part of Cultural Program.

So Mahila Wing and GPYG_Vadodara had propagated this message by which we were able to take a support of 30 Small & Big NGO’s and CMO’s Dr. Patani of Sayaji Hospital. The rally was organised in the Heart of Vadodara City. About 250 members had taken part in the rally as the same was planned in a short notice. Smt. Shobhana Mehta – Chairperson – Gujarat Mahila Vikash Ayog, Govt. of Gujarat had performed the flag ceremony and she remained present during the entire rally. Smt. Mauli Gidwani Chairperson of Sanidhya Seva Trust was also one of our main supporter.

Three set of 21 good and eye catching slogans were displayed in flex printouts. The response from the society was overwhelmingly observed by giving leaflets to each and every one coming on our routes which had increased the enthusiasm of all. Dr Anil Jha and Bhatt Kaka from Kheda had also participated.

The media had played very active role and same had appeared on Local News channel and leading news paper of Vadodara for two days.

Lastly the rally ended at Sursagar Sarovar and there we had kept reviews and previews session of leading Associated who has joined our hands. Adarniya Geetaba Gadhvi – a Pagya Puran Kathakar very well appreciated our efforts and movement in this direction and especially the GPYG – Female can play a pivotal role and inspired to become a role model for this movement. Dr. Anil Jha had very well synthesized the medical science and spirituality on Female Foeticide.

The United Way of Baroda is one the leading NGO’s working internationally and has many projected tied up with UNICEF. About 50 NGO’s are affiliated with United Ways of Baroda and they as a part of Annual Fund Raising Event are organizing Garba which are of international repute. GPYG Team had approached the Executive Director and requested them to display our slogans on female foeticide in the Garba Ground. They had been very kind enough to consider our request and the same was displayed there for 9 days of Navratri.
