Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya epitomizes the truth revealed to the elevated consciousness of Yugrishi Pt.Shriram Sharma Acharya in his meditations. It was revealed to revered, Acharyashri, at the peak of his spiritual practices in the Himalayas. Param Pujya Gurudev established the holy institution of Shantikunj at Hardwar on his return from the Himalayas. Shantikunj aims to provide a knowledge of the sacred ancient Indian Culture. The organization assumed grand dimensions and grew at a fast pace. Acharyashri founded Brahmavarchas Research Institute in 1979 to conduct advanced research on various aspects of Divine Indian Culture (Dev sanskriti) and to promote Scientific Spirituality. Few years before his Mahaprayana, he visualized of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya where the various aspects of the ancient Indian Culture would be taught and researched upon. Later on , his Spiritual consort Vandaniya Mataji Bhawgati Devi Sharma gave concrete shape to the vision of Acharyashri. Later the disciples worked upon the project. The grace of god and the effort of unceasing hardwork of the disciples have given a formal shape to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya.

The Foundation of Dev Sanskriti – Vandaniya Mataji perceived the extraordinary vibrations of this land during the Shradhanjali Samaroh in 1990. At that time she visited all places, were guests were to be accommodated and other programmes were to be conducted, She went toa deep reverie for a few moments when she visited this place. She commented that the land was supremely charged by Divine Vibrations. Arrangements were made and the land was bought. Construction work began after the sacred ritual of Bhoomi-Pujan (23-5-2002) and Dev Sanskriti Mahavidyalaya came into existence. His excellency the Governor of Uttaranchal state formalized it as Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya through an ordinance (22-1-2002). The University is commited to the upliftment of both the Rishibhoomi Uttaranchal and Devbhoomi Bharat.
