Ashwin Navratri Sadhana - 1st to 10th Oct 2016

Navratri is a festival symbolizing the importance of unity, strength and power. Durga symbolizes unity power of dev-shakti or union power of like minded people for a good cause. Kaali symbolizes the super power / force/ energy, that has the capability to destroy evil or demon. During Navratri celebration, devotees who establish Idols of Durga and Kaali should be encouraged to perform individual or collective Shakti Saadhna.

At personal and communal level, people should do Gayatri Mantra, Durga mantra or Kaali mantra Jap, and anushthaan. During this time one should pledge and follow discipline including celibacy, fasting along with taciturnity (Maun Saadhna). On Durga Ashtmi,, we should take pledge not to discriminate between son or daughter, will always pay respect to women, and will try to change our behavior and treatment towards women while offering nourishment treat to young girls.
Every group organizing these festivities, must inspire youth towards healthy living, and organize yoga camps. These camps will build ideal youth, who becomes a role model for society and will inspire other youths. These youth will be able to organize activities involving removing evils from society and establishing righteousness, thus can guide towards reaching human excellence
