Sajal Shraddha - Prakhar Pragya

Shraddha represents intrinsic faith, beatifying love and intimacy with divine values. It is the nectar source of spiritual emotions. It is Sajal pure, unbounded, soothing, smooth and flowing like a natural spring of water. A stream of water cannot be broken, howsoever strong or piercing the striking impact may be. Nothing that collides with it can ever hurt it; rather, anything that attempts to do so gets submerged into its depths forever…. It is this unique quality, this universal force, which endows shraddha with incessant, vanquishing power.

Pragya implies sagacity, spiritually enlightened genius. It is Prakhar radiant, trenchant, brilliant, vibrant. It includes foresighted discerning wisdom. Its immensity has infinite reach and perpetual motion. It destroys all ignorance, penetrates all illusions and culminates highest realms of truth and knowledge. Its grace inculcates preeminent evolution of the intellect.

The presence of rishis, angelic saints and sages at a place for substantial period of time induces dense fields of spiritual force. Magnifying of the sublime currents of Sajal Shraddha and Prakhar Pragya at such a place transforms it into a tirtha (holy place of pilgrimage). Shantikunj, Hardwar is an exemplary testimony of this divine effect; it is indeed a great tirtha of the present Age.

The founders of this yugtirtha, Rev. Vedmurty Taponishtha Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya and Rev. Mata Bhagavati Devi Sharma were rishis of this era. Their incarnations were embodiment of Sajal Shraddha and Prakhar Pragya in human forms. Their glorious lives and works evinced this fact illustriously. This is why after their final abode into to the divine realms; their souvenirs are enshrined at Shantikunj as symbol-structures of Sajal Shraddha and Prakhar Pragya rather than the idols of their physical bodies. This monument stands right at the spot where the last rites of both these saint-sages were performed in Shantikunj and is worshiped as the sacred samadhi of both. The intensity of the sublime currents of Sajal Shraddha and Prakhar Pragya pervaded in this yugtirtha can be experienced by everyone who sits here with devotion for sometime. Every devotee, who pays homage and prays here or meditates with heartfelt reverence, is graced by their divine blessings, inspirations and powers for noble endeavors and accomplishments.
