Nirmal Ganga Abhiyan

 

Nirmal Ganga Abhiyan : Initiated on 20.04.2013, this long term project for cleaning of Holy Ganga is divided into five phases.
Keeping in view the diversity and to maintain continuity, the campaign has been divided in five stages-

  1. Survey-Detailed survey from Gomukh to Gangasagar
  2. Ganga Samvad”-(Plight of Ganga)-to be held at the cities and villages situated on banks.
  3. “Ganga Amrit Kumbh” public awareness Campaign(Foot march for awareness, cleanliness, green cover, and tree plantation)
  4. Cooperation movement- For People’s Cooperation in following rules and law.
  5. Continuous efforts for purification and conservation with in a time frame of 10 years.
