On the eve of Gita Jayanti.

Amrit Cintan
On the eve of Gita Jayanti (December 11, 2005), let us contemplate on the following verses of SHrimad Bhagwadgita:
Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te SangostvakarmaniYogastha kuru karmani sangang tyaktva DhananjayaSidhyasidhyoh samo bhutva samatvang yoga uchyatein(II – 47, 48)
Meaning: Thou hast a right to action, but only to action, never to its fruits; let not the fruits of thy works be thy motive, neither let there be in thee any attachment to inactivity.Fixed in yoga do thy actions, having abandoned attachment, having become equal in failure and success, O Dhananjaya, for it is equality that is meant by yoga.
