The readers may be aware that the Founder Patron of Akhand Jyoti, the seer-sage, Revered Gurudev Yugrishi Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya was born on September 20, 1911. Since then it is going to be nearly one hundred years of his incarnation on earth. He spread the light of spiritual knowledge by all possible means across the globe with his physical body till 1990 when he abandoned his physical sheath. After that, he had been guiding us with a stronger spiritual force from the subtle – causal realms to work towards ushering of New Era. Therefore, this is not only the Birth Centenary of Yugrishi, but also that of ‘Thought Revolution’ which began with his incarnation on this earth in 1911.
Acharyasri, in one of his discourses, said – ‘The main aim of my incarnation on earth is – reestablishment of spiritual values amongst the masses. The humanity has suffered a blackout in terms of good moral values, faiths, beliefs, etc due to the long term darkness of ignorance. It is the spiritual values and faiths that can raise the level of a person to that of a seer and even god. Only the reestablishment of such value-based system can bring about a change that can be visualized as the return of Satyug (the age of truth)’. In his book titled
‘Dhwans ke bina srijan kaise’ (How the creation is possible without destruction?), he writes – ‘Many of the great changes that are going to happen in the middle twenty years of this transition period will remain invisible, because the change is not going to happen in the material things but in the faiths / beliefs. As faiths / beliefs cannot be seen, it will not be possible for anyone to understand or express the disturbances in this field. Whatever is visible, will be the matter of talk. Among the visible events, on one side a destructive process of eradication of the evil, unnecessary and unwanted things will work in its ferocity and on the other, several base pillars will be erected for building up spiritual neo-creation.’
When we assess the present-day circumstances, based on these lines, it becomes very clear that the wave of change is certainly going to be visible in the near future. In fact the axle of the wheel of activities planned to be undertaken during Birth Centenary Year is these very great moments of change. We are fortunate to get that rare opportunity of living those moments. It is upto us to avail this opportunity or waste it.
Let it become the voice of India
In this context, the year 2010 is being observed as a preparatory year. In this duration, an intensive churning is being done in all the branches of Gayatri Parivar and all the Parijans across the globe are being urged to contribute their best, so that when the centenary year begins from next Vasant Parva (February 8, 2011), everyone should be able to participate in our program. The efforts are being made so that in the present year, every citizen of India resolves ‘Hum badlenge, Yug badlega’ (Meaning, I will refine myself so that the age of truth dawns). The echo of this resolve should come from every corner.
2011 Vasant Parva Celebrations
Apart from the dedicated volunteers, the Parijans who have joined the Mission recently, intelligentsia and the readers of Akhand Jyoti /Yug Nirman Yojana (magazines) would also participate in the programs being organized during this year. The prime aim of such programs would be to make everyone aware of – What is Yug Nirman (Creation of Golden Era)? What changes will it make in the masses? The Sadhana (endeavor, sincere efforts) done towards this end will be completed with the 3-day program (February 6-8, 2011) at every branch of our Mission. This will be a kind of Festival of Lights. Everywhere Deep Yagyas will be performed with the prayers for bright future for all – ‘Undesirable and evil should vanish from earth and the auspicious should dawn’. Parijans living abroad may perform such Deep Yagyas on 6th February (as it is Sunday) any time from morning till evening depending on their convenience. In India, Akhand Japa (from morning till evening) and Deep Yagyas at the conclusion of Japa will be performed on 7th February at each and every branch of the Mission. Vasant Parva will be celebrated as usual on 8th February. The main aim of this program is to perform a collective spiritual endeavor for the well-being of all.
To improve oneself to the level at which one can serve others is the only worthy ambition.
