AI for Democracy — 15 September 2026

Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) is organising “AI for Democracy” on 15 September 2026 at the Mrityunjay Auditorium, DSVV, as part of a series of meaningful dialogues on the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Democracy.

The programme is being organised under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice President of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Dr. Chinmay Pandya Ji, with the objective of bringing together distinguished experts, academicians, technology leaders and thought leaders from the domains of Artificial Intelligence, democracy and governance.

The event provides a significant platform for deliberations on the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities associated with the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence on democratic institutions and society.

Inauguration Session

The session will set the context for the day-long dialogue, focusing on the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence in strengthening democratic processes, public institutions and citizen participation.

The Valedictory Session will be graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri Gurmit Singh Ji, providing an important constitutional and governance perspective to the concluding deliberations.

The session will bring together the key reflections and insights emerging from the programme and highlight the importance of ensuring that the development and application of Artificial Intelligence remains responsible, ethical, inclusive and aligned with democratic values.

Through “AI for Democracy”, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya seeks to foster informed dialogue on one of the defining questions of our time: How can Artificial Intelligence contribute to the strengthening of democracy while ensuring that human values, accountability and public trust remain at its core?

The initiative reflects DSVV’s commitment to creating a thoughtful academic and societal dialogue around emerging technologies and their implications for humanity, governance and the future of society.
